Stirring Up Trouble
I’m on the road today traveling to Nebraska to see some friends and help my husband clean out his father’s attic. My husband’s mother passed away a couple of years ago and his father just turned eighty so there is this looming for him to start shedding some possessions.
What I’m expecting to find is old Christmas decorations, fake flower arrangements, and boxes of long-forgotten toys. My father-in-law will try to get us to take things home and I’m determined to keep that from happening.
I know why he wants us to take things but a lot of it isn’t “memory” type of things. I love him dearly but I don’t need any more junk in my house. We’ll see how successful I am.
I think I’m going to try and stir up some ghosts just to make things interesting. Anything to help me get through this attic that I guarantee has more plastic in it than an episode of Real Housewives of Orange County.
Enjoy your weekend and don’t forget that I’m giving away a copy of The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro. You can leave a comment on Monday’s post here to enter to win!
Spiritfully yours,
Hallie
I'm a midwest gal living vicariously through books, writing, her crazy family, and a few great friends. My blog covers all of the above as I attempt to figure out what the hell I'm doing at any given moment.

I’m on the road today, too, taking my daughter back to college… and like you I’m trying to stir up some stories (maybe not ghosts or memories, but still…). Happy trails and ghosts, Hallie!
