We’ve Made It Another Year; It’s My Bloggie’s Third Birthday

medium_4155685979

Yeah, you read that right. This horrible blog has survived three whole years. Even I am amazed. How I’m still at this, I have no idea.

-Am I a glutton for punishment?

-Am I too stupid to know when to quit?

-Is this thing even on? [taps the screen]

All of the above may be true but screw it. I’m going to keep blogging because it’s fun in a weird way, I meet great people, and

Regardless of where this little bloggie is today [camera cuts away to Bloggie trapped in a revolving door] it is vastly different from where  it was three years ago. Not so much different as in content itself but as in the quality of content. Some of my early posts sounded like babies talking. I beg you not to go back to beginning and read those posts. You will hate yourself for it in the morning.

I’d like to think I’ve helped raise this little bloggie to more of a middle schooler now. Readable but only in small doses.

So whether you are a new visitor or one of my loyalists (God help you), I express my humblest of thanks for hanging out with me. To show my utmost gratitude for folks like you, I’m giving away a book to three winners.

To enter to win, just leave a comment expressing what book you would love to receive from you local indie bookstore.

Here is a list and links to all of the book recommendations I’ve done in case you need some ideas:

Happy anniversary, Hallie! I can’t believe it’s been 3 years already…I don’t know if we crossed paths right around that time or perhaps in the last 2 years or so, but I’m very glad we did! Big hug to you!!

Oh, and I’d love to win Literary Rogues by Andrew Shaffer.

    • You are one of the reasons I keep blogging. You are so supportive and kind and totally lie to me about my blog being good and all. That is a true friend. ;)

You are like the taller little sister I never had. Hugs back to you and now I’m off to check out more about Literary Rogues!

Happy 3 years, and yes I agree my blog has grown up and changed a bit too! I think it will be 5 years this June…wow! I review more books now, but I admit I miss my own prose and thoughts at times.
There are too many good goods I want to read, but one is The Aviator’s Wife!! So that is what I would choose.

Congratulations, Hallie! 3 years is a l-o-n-g time. But, as your excellent quote from my hero Stephen King says in your sidebar, it’s all about enriching lives and getting happy. I’ll always be a Hallie fan. xo
