I am currently in my 2nd draft and rewriting a more detailed outline to keep me on track of where I want things to go. I had a rough outline for the first draft but quickly went off track as my characters took control. It was fun to let them have the reins to see what my story was really about but I find that now I am basically rewriting my story from scratch. Ah, the joys of being a new writer!
My goal is to get through this draft and editing in the next couple of months and find a critique partner along the way.
