Ep. 104 - The HRT Patch Shortage and Women are Upset, Rightly So!

National Menopause Day was this past weekend and it seems like the perfect time to discuss the ironic timing of this international HRT shortage, the Estradiol patch specifically.

I’ve seen it everywhere. Women are sharing on social media, there are written articles (here, here, and here), and it’s made the nightly news as well.

Women are upset, anxious, and very distressed about having to ration what they currently have, drive to multiple pharmacies to be told over and over they’re out, and possibly forgoing medication altogether because they’ve run out.

I read a study that 34% of 8,000 women polled said they were severely affected, mentally and physically by the shortage. I cannot imagine my life with my HRT medication and it pains me to hear women are suffering unnecessarily because this shortage is absolute B.S.
